• Experience as a Quality Control Inspector / CMM Operator

  • 5 years working in a Quality Lab performing testing and calibrations

  • Must be able to write CMM programs and operate CMM independently

  • Must be proficient in PC-DMIS 2019

  • Must understand complex GD&T

  • Ability to operate micrometers, calipers, and optical comparator

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings

  • Strong computer skills especially CAD (Fusion 360, SolidWorks, Inventor, etc.)

  • Knowledge of ISO standards

  • Experience with software QA tools and processes

  • Machining experience preferred

  • Read blueprints and specifications

  • Measure parts using modern metrology techniques

  • Program Brown and Sharpe 5-axis CMM using PC-DMIS 2019

  • Generate “First Article Inspection Reports”

  • Maintain calibration records and traceability

  • Coordinate vendor and subcontractor processes

  • Monitor operations to ensure that they meet production standards

  • Recommend adjustments to the assembly or production process

  • Inspect, test, or measure materials or products being produced

  • Measure products with rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers

  • Accept or reject finished items

  • Remove all products and materials that fail to meet specifications

  • Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products

  • Report inspection and test data

  • Test current products and identifying deficiencies

  • Suggest solutions to identified product problems 

  • Investigate product quality in order to make improvements to achieve better customer satisfaction

  • Plan, create and manage the overall Quality Planning strategy

  • Collaborate with the machinist team to ensure consistent project execution

  • Identify quality assurance process bottleneck and suggest actions for improvement 

  • Oversee continuous improvement projects 

  • Collect and document quality data 

  • Prepare different inspection reports (First Article, Last Article, etc.)

  • Identify key KPIs for product quality

  • Prepare and present reports and metrics to Management
